Teacher Idea Guide: West Region First Place Teacher and Staff Appreciation Contest

Third-grade teacher Cecilia Zeidman has taught at the elementary school for 25 years. She plans lessons with students’ abilities in mind and implemented a plan to accommodate a diabetic student. Cecilia updates her website weekly and mails a newsletter to parents and students. She organizes fundraisers, coordinates Playa del Rey’s Box Tops For Education Project and oversees performances and festivals. “Teachers and parents can count on Ms. Zeidman for assistance and support,” said her nominator, Mary Pierce, former principal at the school.

2011 “I Make A Difference” Teacher Of The Year Program

We invite you to nominate an exceptional teacher for Positive Promotions’ annual “I Make A Difference” Teacher Of The Year Program. Your nominee should set the standard of excellence in teaching and for inspiring students and fellow educators.

Each nominee will receive an exclusive recognition gift. They also are eligible to win one of the regional Teacher Of The Year Awards. First Prize winners receive a $500 donation in their name to their schools, and the schools of Second Prize winners receive $250. Nomination forms will be sent out shortly before Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week.
